POKY vs Kopy vs Ecopy (2026): Three Importers, Three Different Products
A side-by-side comparison of POKY, Kopy, and Ecopy for Shopify — real pricing, platform coverage, AI features, and free plans. They look interchangeable and they are not. Here's how to pick.
POKY, Kopy, and Ecopy get compared constantly because they solve the same visible problem: getting a product from somewhere else into your Shopify store without retyping it.
Underneath, they've made genuinely different bets. One optimises for breadth and price, one for defence, one for what happens to the product page after the import. Picking on price alone usually means buying the wrong one.
All figures below were checked against each vendor's public pricing page on 22 July 2026. We build Ecopy — read the recommendations with that in mind, and verify the numbers yourself.

POKY: breadth and price
$2.95/month flat. 28+ platforms. Unlimited imports.
POKY is the cheapest and by far the widest-reaching. WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Magento, OpenCart, BigCommerce, Walmart, Mercado Livre, Shopee, Lazada, Bol, 1688, Faire, Target, Best Buy — plus a scraper builder for anything unlisted.
Nothing else in this comparison has that last feature. If your supplier runs an obscure regional platform, POKY may be your only option at any price.
What it doesn't do: build pages. POKY moves catalogue and stops there.
Buy POKY if: you source from unusual platforms, you're migrating a large catalogue, you import in volume, or your page-building is already handled.
Kopy: import plus defence
$9.99 to $32.99/month. 8 platforms. Kopy Protect.
Kopy covers the standard sources — Shopify, AliExpress, CJ Dropshipping, Etsy, Amazon, SHEIN, Alibaba, Temu — and layers on AI rewriting, translation, and AI page generation.
Its distinguishing feature is Kopy Protect: blocking competitors and spy tools from scraping your store. It's the same capability the app provides, turned defensive, and no rival sells it.
Two caveats. The plan cards overlap confusingly — AI and Protect bullets appear on the $9.99 tier as well as the tiers named after them — and extra stores cost $4.99/month each, which escalates the total fast.
Buy Kopy if: your store has original branding and copy worth protecting, and you want import and protection on one bill.
Ecopy: import plus conversion
Free, $4.99, or $19.99/month. 9+ platforms. AI page builder and ad creative.
Ecopy covers Shopify, Amazon, AliExpress, Etsy, eBay, SHEIN, Temu, Alibaba, and Zalando, with a Chrome extension for one-click import from the product page.
The bet is that importing is the easy half. A raw marketplace description in a Shopify template converts badly, so Ecopy bundles an AI page builder with niche templates, AI copy, Facebook/Meta ad creative generation, and translation into 55+ languages.
The free plan is the structural difference: limited imports, one AI product page, and the full page builder, no card required. You can publish and measure before paying anything.
Where it loses: 9 platforms against POKY's 28+, no scraper builder, no store protection, and the page builder isn't as deep as a dedicated tool like PagePilot.
Buy Ecopy if: you want to test before paying, you want the page built rather than just filled, or you're running ads and want creative from the same tool.
Pick by bottleneck, not by price
Ask what's actually stopping you.
"I can't get products in from the platform I use." → POKY. 28+ platforms and a scraper builder. Nothing else competes.
"I have products in, but the pages don't convert." → A cheaper importer won't help. Ecopy at $4.99 or PagePilot at $39, depending on how much page depth you need.
"Competitors are cloning my store." → Kopy. Only vendor that sells the answer.
"I'm not sure this business works yet." → Start free. Ecopy's free plan lets you publish and measure; POKY's $2.95 is low enough to be almost free. Don't spend $39/month on page-building before you have a product that sells.
"I'm migrating 2,000 products." → POKY. Unlimited imports at a flat $2.95 makes per-product cost approach zero.
Annual cost, one store
| POKY | Kopy | Ecopy | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cheapest paid path | ~$35 | ~$120 | ~$60 |
| Top tier | ~$35 | ~$396 | ~$240 |
| Free option | No | No | $0 |
The spread between the cheapest and most expensive path here is more than 11×. That's not a small difference in a category where every tool imports products competently.
What none of them fix
Worth saying plainly, since all three vendors are incentivised not to.
Importing products does not create a business. Every one of these tools makes it trivial to put 500 products into Shopify, and a store with 500 imported products and no traffic sells nothing. The hard parts — finding a product people want, getting traffic profitably, handling shipping times and returns — sit entirely outside what any importer does.
Choose one, spend under $10 a month, and put the attention you save into product research and traffic. The tool is not the constraint.
